Introduction: LIVE MUSIC I can provide live music for all types of events - Corporate, holiday, fundraisers, weddings, parties… All kinds of music from acoustic / classical to jazz, funk, soul, rock, funk, pop, R & B. Bands range from solo or duo up to 5 or more piece with instruments and vocals. Current Bands: E-Jazz - Groovey jazz / pop like Sade and Stevie Wonder. Crescendo Amelia Big Band - American Songbook, swing /pop / big-band. Gator Grooves - Variety of jazz, funk, rock, pop. DRUM LESSONS I teach drum lessons, beginner to advanced. Snare drum, rudiments, reading, technique. Drum set - how to play all different styles of music, technique, independence and tuning, learning songs. Please note that my teaching studio is in Trailmark, which is south of World Golf Village, about 30 minutes from central Jacksonville or downtown Saint Augustine. STUDIO RECORDING I have a small home studio. I can record drums and percussion (my specialty) and any other instruments. I have recorded demos for other musicians and full albums. MUSIC PRODUCTION / COMPOSITION I can arrange and compose music based on customer needs. I compose original music and collaborate with other songwriters to create sellable demos, etc. SONGWRITING If you have a song idea fully or partially developed, I can continue development into a demo or release or whatever goal you have for your song. Please provide me with some information: Genre Goal to be achieved with finished song Do you have a rough recording for ideas? Specific instruments you want Do you have lyrics, chords and melody? Specific services you would like provided aside from recording, such as mixing and mastering VIDEO PRODUCTION I can produce videos with linked audio based on customer needs.

Paul, thanks so much for recommending the Dave Ott trio to us. All three were very excellent young musicians with a great repertoire and the talent to successfully tackle requests that weren't in their songbook. We couldn't have been happier with our decision to hire Paul and his trio for our wedding. My husband is a musician and I have worked with live music as a dancer many times, so we know quality when we encounter it. Planning our wedding from our of state was a challenge, and Paul was responsive and professional via email. He sent us music samples and was eager to learn specific songs for our ceremony. The day of our wedding the trio was early, well dressed, and ready to go without a hitch. They played for our outdoor ceremony and quickly reset on the patio for cocktail hour. I would recommend Paul to anyone looking for high quality, affordable musicians to enhance your event!

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Pricing is always negotiable. Please do not assume that my music is anything less than professional based on price - there are many pros out there charging more money because they make a living with music. With all due respect to them, I am usually happy to give some discount when needed, or if asked. My goal is to provide great quality music at reasonable prices.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
The most important thing is to find out what type of music is needed and the type of event. That way I can be sure to match the music to the event appropriately. This can be done in a few short emails. I would rather not take a booking if my music is not desired.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have 40 years of experience playing all kinds of music in many venues. I work with similar professional and semi-professional musicians with diverse backgrounds to offer the best quality music for any event.
