FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Every job is different so the pricing does vary from job to job. For instance in painting one room. That room may have been smoked in for years and require an oil kilz paint to cover the smell, that room may be a 20’ high foyer, that one room may be 20’ by 30’ with 17 windows so it just depends on the project. If I’m hired by the same person for more than one project I do typically discount my labor rates.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I’m always going trade shows to learn about new products and try their demos out. I constantly work with different trades to learn their craft and hone my skills. On the job training is the best way to learn. I also graduated from trade school and have taken other classes at a community college to learn a trade.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
My dad ran Bradshaw Paint Company up until he passed away in 2009. I grew up painting with him during the summers and and then on weekends through college. My grandpa was a diy guy who owned an auto mechanic shop. He also was a general contractor. So anytime I was at his house on the weekends we were traveling to roof a house, work on a car, or build a garage. I worked after college for several trade contractors and it just went from there.
