FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Well job pricing can be a very difficult prospect even when you have the opportunity to see the project before you begin your quote. Giving a price without seeing the job first is even more difficult. I have found that when working "blind" ,so to speak, without seeing the job before is even more difficult. I know some may find my quoted price my seem very high but when I am quoting blind I have to price the job envisioning the worst case scenario. However once I have gotten a job and arrive to do the work I always drop the price if the job turns out to not be as difficult as I thought.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have 30 years of on the job training working with my Father as well as many others during that time. I also have received a certificate for the design and drawing of house/project plans where applicable.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
Construction is the work most of my family has always been in and I suppose you could say it is "in my blood". This type of work brings me great satisfaction because of my love for construction and I also love to help others. I have always thought if we all could do everything what would be the purpose of other businesses. I have to hire people from time to time to take care of the things I do not know how to do and I think that is one of the things that can bring people together as well as making the world go around.
