Introduction: I started yoga for three reasons: 1. To supplement sports. 2. To reduce my extreme anxiety. 3. To break away from my eating disorder. Yoga helped me achieve all of these goals and it is my hope to help others do the same. Having studied Neuroscience under Dr. V.S. Ramachandran, I have a strong understanding of the brain and nervous system and how yoga can help to make you more resilient. Coming from an athletic and scientific background, the yoga instruction I provide is unique in that it incorporates a deep knowledge of anatomy, physiology, injury prevention/management, and body compassion. I am certified in teaching vinyasa, hatha, pranayama, and restorative yoga and often fuse all three styles into one class for a full body-mind experience. Having studied extensively under Sara Deakin, I also offer adjustments to get you in proper alignment and to safely go deeper into poses. As a runner, surfer, and climber myself, I know the importance of keeping a healthy body and mind and have found that yoga is the best tool to do so. I teach from a scientific perspective, with a sense of spirituality sprinkled throughout. I enjoy teaching all ages but especially find teaching beginners and young adults to be the most rewarding, encouraging body positivity and empowering people to step into their strengths. I enjoy watching my clients grow in whatever endeavor they do. Whether I'm teaching a beginner or a seasoned athlete, it's an honor to guide people through yoga and meditation classes that help them feel calmer and accomplish more off of the yoga mat. I come from an athletic background where yoga helped me deal with stress, get in the zone, and stay healthy. This is my goal for my clients too. The most recent example of this is a climber in his mid-20s who came to one of my classes with knee pain. His doctor recommended opening up his hips to decrease his knee pain, and since working with him the pain in his knee as decreased to point where he is climbing at a high capacity again!

Hannah is the best yoga teacher I have ever worked with! She can match her style to meet whatever the client needs. Also, she is gentle but can also push people to reach new goals. Hannah is truly a gem of a person and instructor. Meet her and you'll see right away what I mean!

I've had the opportunity to learn from Hannah in a small group setting where she was very helpful in modifying my movements based on my ability. It has been easy to follow along in her classes and I never feel rushed or frustrated. I'm very impressed by her broad spectrum of knowledge, which she graciously shares with me. Above, I love her passion towards what she does. Her enthusiasm immediately puts me in a better mood and I always leave her classes with a smile. I would recommend her to anyone looking to grow both physically and mentally. Hannah rocks!

I guided a Joshua tree yoga retreat with Hannah, and while I didn’t get to participate in all the activities with her I was very impressed by her breadth of knowledge as well as calming presence. I was able to participate in a few sessions with her and felt rejuvenated despite also being on the job
