Introduction: Willing to travel, travel expenses must be reimbursed. Base charges are $75 in my office, $125 in Lanier County and $150 outside of Lanier County. These charges are for 1 hour of service. Anything over 1 hour is an additional $75 per hour. Mileage rate is 50¢ per mile from Lanier County line to service and back to Lanier County line and $25 per hour while driving.. Meals are figured at $10 for breakfast, $20 for lunch and $30 for dinner. Overnight accommodations are figured at $175 per night. A non-refundable deposit of 50% must be received before scheduling will be completed. The remaining balance must be paid before I will sign your legal marriage license.
I offer premarital counseling at a charge of $200, I AM NOT a licensed counselor but am performing this based on biblical principles as a minister. This does count in the State of Georgia to fulfill the optional premarital counseling requirements. There is a questionnaire that you must fill out jointly and some parts separately. A PowerPoint presentation and a handout for you to keep as a reference. This service takes 6-8 hours and I must be present to make sure that the proper hours are completed.
Service types, I only perform Christian services. I have many different types of services from contemporary, traditional and modern. as far as the location, that is up to you and your fiancée. I have performed services in a mud bog sitting on a 4-wheeler, in water, in the woods, at a lake, on a boat and at the beach. My only limitations would be something like skydiving due to various leg and ankle injuries.
What do you get, I pray for you and your fiancée success and happiness starting several days prior to your service. We will have several phone or Skype conversations prior to the service to discuss what type of service we will be performing. Upon arriving at the service location, I will meet with the bride separately and her family. Then I will meet with the groom and his family. If the families are available. We will talk briefly, I will anoint the bride and groom with oil and we will pray. I continue to pray for you after your service for several days. Of course, you get an awesome service full of smiles, maybe even a few giggles but most importantly....the love of your life!
Attire....I prefer NOT to wear a robe and stole as these are flashy and can draw attention to me and away from the bride and groom as well as the service in whole. I prefer either the black clergy shirt and collar with black or khaki pants. A shirt and tie with or without a sport coat or a simple suit. There have been cases, mud and water services, that I wore blue jeans, shorts or a polo shirt with khaki pants. I allow you to choose to make you more comfortable!
If I have more than one service in the area on the same day, I will divide the travel expenses between all of them.
