The rate per session is $105.00
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
In the initial sessions, I want to learn about you and your journey including important life events and experiences as well as current symptoms and struggles. I am interested in understanding what prompted you to seek counseling and why you have chosen at this time to take this step. I also want outline your needs and identify what you hope to accomplish during our work together. In addition, I want to ensure that you feel comfortable with me and my approach. It is important that we are a good fit so that your experience with me will be rewarding. We will also discuss confidentiality, review completed paperwork and develop your goals for our time together. These goals will be specific, measurable, and time limited so that they will be realistically achievable. Subsequent sessions will focus on addressing your goals and making changes as needed along the way. Different interventions may be utilized during our time together. With regards to modalities, I provide individual, family, and couples counseling. My ultimate goal with you will be to help you achieve your goals as you see fit so that we can successfully terminate our time together. ** Contact me for a free 15 minute consultation.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and I have over 10 years experience in clinical work. I am also a Certified Professional Counselor Supervisor (CPCS) and am qualified to provide supervision to licensure eligible clinicians in Georgia. I received my Master of Arts Degree in Clinical Psychology from Argosy University in 2004. I completed my practicum at the Atlanta Center for Eating Disorders. After earning my degree, I worked at Pathways Transition Programs as an in- home counselor and a clinical supervisor from 2004 thru 2015. I also worked at Manna Treatment and Counseling from 2006- 2008. In September of 2015, I opened an independent practice, Bold Crossings Counseling and Consulting, while in affiliation with Greater Life Counseling. My past work experience includes assessment and counseling for an assortment of issues and disorders (eating disorders, anxiety disorders, mood disorders, trauma disorders, attachment disorders, self-harming behaviors, family conflict, academic issues, delinquency), crisis management and stabilization services, and clinical supervision. Specifically, I have worked with children, adolescents, and adults who have experienced various forms of abuse, neglect, out of home placement, and other trauma. In addition, I have experience working with clients struggling with anorexia and bulimia. I have provided counseling in private practice settings and in home settings.
