FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
After paying a small sitting fee, we have a fun photo shoot for your dogs. Within three weeks of the session we sit down again and you preview your images and decide which to order. The advantage of this is that you get to see your images and choose which you want and in what sizes. Everything is custom so you pick and have the ultimate say in what works best for your family.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
You and I will find a date and time that works for both of our schedules. To finalize that, you will pick which session you want on my website ... Keep in mind that the date is not reserved until the sitting fee is paid. Once that's done, that spot is all yours! You will receive a copy of the contract and model release (that just states it's okay for me to use any of your gorgeous pictures in my promotional materials because they will be so great!). You will sign these form and bring with you to the session, or I have extras in case you forget - nothing to worry about! After our photo session, that's when I do the most intensive part of my job. I spend hours transforming your images from 'good' to 'great' using modern digital editing technology. Within three weeks comes the really FUN part, when we meet up again for an ordering session. This is the time you will see your printed proofs and decide which print or digital package you would like. It is exciting for both you and me to reveal the photographs! All the available products and prices are on my website. By separating the session fee from the ordering, Browning Photo lets you see your images before buying AND allows you the flexibility to mix and match and decide what fits you best.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
My mother was a serious hobbyist for decades so I grew up around film photography. I, on the other hand, shoot digitally, which is much faster and cleaner than working with chemicals in a darkroom to develop film!
