I've always wanted to grow my own organic food but didn't know how or what to do. Then I met Rick and Adam of Organic Harvest Gardens. They came over to the house for a consultation and shared their vision of how, in just a little space, I could grow my own food. With their help and professional know-how, I've converted part of the backyard into this incredible, beautiful garden! Now, I'm going out to my backyard to pick delicious, fresh organic produce each day rather than drive to Whole Foods or some other market. I couldn't be happier or healthier! Rick and Adam are great guys to work with, really know their stuff, and have a passion not just for what they do, but for making people healthier and life more sustainable. Thanks, guys. WOW these two "Master Gardeners" are IMPRESSIVE. I contacted them to inquire about doing herbs and a organic garden. They were PUNCTUAL to our first meeting and made sure to check in and confirm the time. They are EDUCATED, which showed when they walked me through some of the possibilities during our free consultation. I immediately trusted them because they were enthusiastic about my project and I agreed to let them make my vision come to life. What I did not expect was for them to go ABOVE and BEYOND what was asked. They gave me fresh non-gmo plants and herbs including a cute separate pot filled with strawberries. They were RESOURCEFUL by using my extra bricks and stones from previous construction jobs to create a small oasis for me, which by the way was not previously discussed but I was so grateful for their THOUGHTFULNESS and COMMON SENSE. Throughout the whole process they contacted via text to let me know whenever they were on their way and in my garden. Once completed they educated me on some of the plants and how to take care of them. I opted to have them come back for weekly maintenance to ensure my garden stays in tip top shape. They are definitely ECONOMICAL as well. Last year I tried to do my own gardening and ended up wasting money. I cant wait for what is to come. Oh and super EFFICIENT, I love it when a contractor/gardener/hired gets the job done well and fast and that is what they did. I decided to hire them for another project which is to make new brick planters for the front of my house. Words cannot express that i HIGHLY RECOMMEND them. (I wish I could post the before and after photos to do it some justice but thumbtack doesn't have that option yet)

We hired Rod and Adam as a birthday gift for my sister, to have them come mend the soil and install an organic vegetable garden in her backyard. We were REALLY IMPRESSED with their extensive knowledge, professionalism, and consistently cheerful disposition throughout the entire process from exchanging emails to the finished (and beautiful) garden! My husband and I will definitely be using them for our own garden in the future, too. Very highly recommended!!

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
We have two different pricing scales. One for installation and the other for week or by-monthly maintenance.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
The first step is always an onsite visit for a consultation. Each garden is unique, as are the desires of each client, therefore we work with you to bring together the proper components to fit your vision and landscape. We give you our professional expertise concerning placement, hours of adequate sunlight, accumulation of nutrient rich soil, irrigation and water needs, drainage and plant selection. After we come up with a game plan, dictated by your budget, we begin with the installation.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Two university of California Certified Master Gardeners who head a team of organic gardeners and installers. We have a Combined experience of 20 years in the industry, ranging from plant nurseries, landscaping, fertilizer distribution, community garden, greenhouse growing, organic vegetable growing and professional private chef.
