After the sale, we follow up with the customer after the job has been completed to determine whether or not the customer is satisfied and if not, what can be done to satisfy the customers. Jeff from CertaPro was professional, timely, and customer friendly. Ricardo and his assistants, who completed the work, were flexible, hard-working, conscientious, happy, and asked for feedback throughout the process. The most important quality was Ricardo was clearly proud of his work and it showed in his attention to details. For example, he took the initiative to fill cracks in our crown molding. Not because we asked him to, but because this would give the best visual outcome. Ricardo also saved us money by offering to paint our recessed lighting cans and spot lights over our fireplace instead of having to buy new ones. Finally, the ceilings look outstanding! I would definitely recommend CertaPro. I am looking forward to having them complete our next project.

Jeff Tetzlaff was great. He came out to perform look at the place and get information for a quote. He was very personable and took care with measuring the place and getting the exact details down. He even took photos to help. Later that night I received a quote and a contract which detailed out exactly what I wanted done. He even was able to guarantee that it would be done prior to moving in. It was all going great, and I had high expectations. Then the painters showed up. Now, Mr. Tetzlaff did not do the painting himself, it was sub-contracted out to someone. I received a text message at 8:30 the day the painters were to starts, stating that they could not get into my house, the key was not in the agree upon location. I verified that the were at the correct house and still they claimed they could not find the key, and that they had been here since before 8am (what they were doing for that 1/2 hours I'll never know). I left work to get let them in, only to find that they were indeed not at the correct house. There was no apology, only comment made that the mistake was mine and that I put them out. (Serious red flag right there). Since I was at the house, I took the opportunity to explain to the painters what I did to Mr. Tetzlaff. About 9pm that evening I received a text from the painter, stating they were all finished. He also asked if I was going to use a mirror I had them take down to paint behind. I replied that I was. The response I got was "Oh, then I will let my guy know he can't have it". I guess I should be thankful that they asked and didn't just take it. The next morning I went over to the house to clean and check the paint job. When I got there, I did not know what to do. The accent walls were not painted correctly and a floating shelf that was suppose to be removed was not. Everything was detailed out in the contract. I emailed my issues to the company. They responded right way, which is a good sign (usually). The painter called me back within an hour. After spending 10 minuets talking down to me and trying to explain what an accent color was (like I didn't have a clue- the wall were beige and the accent were suppose to be teal and chocolate). He finally admitted to not ready the contract and just taking the job for quick extra money. That night the painter return and removed the shelf and painted. The accent walls remain the same color as the rest of the room. When I expressed my apprehension about having the same painter come out and correct it. The response I got from the company was "It was a pleasure working for you" with my invoice attached. Nothing else was done or acknowledged. I wish I would have just painted it myself. And, thanks to this experience, I will ever hire painters again. Which is a shame, since Mr. Tetzlaff was great. His choice of sub-contracts not so much.

Working with Jeff was very straight forward and he arrived promptly for the appointment time. The estimate was very competitive and certainly no hidden costs. The Team that Jeff sent was super dedicated, friendly, and worked late into the night to ensure we could move in the following day. Quality of the work was above average for a technically challenging job and I would recommend using CertaPro for your next project.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Appointments can range from 30 minutes to as much as one hour depending on the complexity of the project. Your appointment will consist of the following: Introductions and confirmation of general scope (5-10 minutes) Physically walking around your home and confirming all the details regarding the project (10-20 minutes) Compilation of all the details to confirm the quote (10-20 minutes) Review and delivery of the proposal (5-10 minutes)
How did you get started doing this type of work?
I started my career as a high school industrial arts teacher. Home improvement projects have been a part of my life as long as I can remember. I worked as a professional project manager for more than 20 years, managing time, resources, people and communication. In the last three years, we have done more than 450 projects.
