About: M Pilates Method is a Los Angeles-based classical Pilates studio founded by Mayra R. Valle. Continuing the proud lineage extending directly from the creator of Pilates, Mayra received her 650-hour training at the Equinox Pilates Institute in Los Angeles, under second- and third-generation apprentices of Joseph H. Pilates and Romana Krysonawska. Mayra first discovered her passion for Pilates in 2005, after giving birth to her second son and suffering from severe and chronic back pain due to scoliosis. She began to practice Pilates and very quickly realized that the method not only alleviated her pain, but enabled her to enjoy movement in ways she never thought possible, including lifting weights, playing golf, swimming, hiking … even skydiving! That revelation has driven Mayra to empower others through Pilates, believing that we all have the power to transform ourselves and exceed all expectations, including our own. Emphasizing physical preservation, restoration, and development, Mayra’s classes take students on a life-changing journey for the body, mind and soul.
