Introduction: I'm a self-employed bookkeeper who provides services to small businesses. I reconcile your accounts on a monthly basis, provide a balance sheet, income statement, and statement of cash flows every month, and then at the beginning of the month we discuss your financial statements to see what's good, what's bad, and how you relate to the industry in general. I also offer account cleanups, setup of bookkeeping systems, budgeting, A/P and A/R maintenance and monitoring, cash flow projections and various other services. While I specialize in small architecture, engineering, and design firms, I am capable of providing excellent services to all small businesses.

There are a few things I enjoy about my work. One of the biggest is seeing the difference it makes in a client's life when they know their books are properly maintained: they don't need to worry about the accounts not being reconciled or missing out on something that was never entered into the bookkeeping software. Another joy for me is that "a-ha!" moment clients feel when they understand what the financial statements are actually telling them about their business. Finally, freeing up my clients from bookkeeping tasks allows them to pursue more business, or spend that time on things they'd rather be doing than coding transactions.
