Introduction: I've been involved in photography since the late 70's, starting with film and transitioning to digital. And lately, I've gone back to shooting some film for the wonderful vintage, timeless look it provides.
I have a small studio here in Madison for head shots, high school senior formals, etc. We live on a farm, so I also have a large "outdoor studio" with fields, woods, streams, old barns, and even an abandoned house or two if you're looking for something REALLY different.
I'm also glad to travel to your location if need be. I have portable backgrounds and lighting that I can bring for location head shots, and shoots.
I really enjoy meeting new people and helping them with their photography needs. Photoshoots are always relaxed and I always plan enough time so that we never feel rushed.

John has been very responsive to my e-mail correspondences as we worked to coordinate an appointment for staff headshots. Everything went smoothly with John. He met me at a great location and encouraged a variety of poses for my head shots. He was warm and friendly but stayed focused on getting the photo shoot done. I felt at ease pretty quickly and ended up with a good collection of shots. Highly recommended.
