Introduction: So many great older pieces of furniture end up in landfills because of something broken, the finish is damaged or it's finish is outdated. These are great solid pieces of furniture that you would pay an arm and a leg for (no pun intended) if purchased in current times.
I love watching an older piece receive a facelift and be useful again to it's owner. Although furniture repair and refinishing can be time consuming, it is ultimately worth it in the end. Pieces that were destined for the trash pile are once more favorite pieces by their owners.

I had a drum table with a broken leg and the old legs wouldn't stay attached to the pedestal base. The top and sides were scratched. It was in poor shape. In it's current condition it was collecting dust in the garage. I had someone else try repair it and they did more damage to it and allowed different glued to dry all over the pedestal base when it dropped down. I had Amanda repair and refinish this piece and it looks amazing. The leg was repaired and most of it blended where you can't see where it was. The top was refinished and it is nowadays piece I am proud to use. And it's sturdy now. I'm having her do more of my pieces.
