FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I do not have a standard pricing system. I have a few packages for my portrait work, but I like the flexibility of being able to taylor my package to each client/job. In coming up with my quotes, I consider things like estimated shooting time, how many different setups I expect to have, how much retouching shoots of that type take, and what the client will be doing with the finished product.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
To book your session I will send you an online contract to read and fill out, then you will pay a nonrefundable deposit of 50% of your total to reserve your time slot. Once you have booked your session, I will send you a questionnaire to help me get to know you better. After you send that back we can have a phone or in person consultation to plan your session. We will decide your location (outdoors, in studio, etc) and help you plan what to wear. For commercial clients we will have a consultation on the phone or in person to discuss the concept for your shoot. We will also plan location, any props or styling needed, etc. After your session, it usually takes me two weeks to edit and retouch images. I will then have another in person meeting with you to reveal your photos and you can make your selections.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a BFA from University of North Texas in photography. I have been working for myself since I got my degree in 2009. I have worked with a wide range of commercial clients as well as numerous individuals for personal portraits. A selection of my clients include, architects, interior designers, florists, fashion websites, real estate agents and gun manufacturers. I have been published in numerous online and print publications for my editorial and real estate work, most recently Living Magazine.
