I began taking violin lessons at 15 years old and, in spite of being told that I was “too old” to learn to play the violin, I continued practicing and one year later I joined my first orchestra.
In 2011 I moved to Boston to pursue a career in music and in 2016 I graduated with a BA in Music from the University of Massachusetts Boston.
Since graduating, I've toured and performed in multiple venues across the United States and I've released my own original music on all music streaming platforms.
With almost 10 years of experience teaching, I offer private violin, piano, music theory, and songwriting lessons for ALL ages!

Hannah Lopez is a fantastic instructor. She is a kind, knowledgeable, and patient person who enjoys seeing me learn. I am a beginner to music and music theory, and she has taught me much more than I expected to learn within a few months. She is easy to talk to and has a great personality. I look forward to each of my lessons with her, and I look forward to keep working with her in the future.

I didn't start learning violin until I was in my 20s, which is intimidating in a world filled with people who have been playing since they were children. For this reason, finding a teacher that understood what it was like to begin from square one as an adult was very difficult. That's when I found Hannah. She also began learning later in life, so she is living proof that it's never too late to start learning a new instrument.
Throughout our lessons, Hannah has been kind, knowledgeable, and very very very patient. She breaks down music is a way that's easy to digest and retain. She's flexible with my schedule and understanding when I slack off and don't practice. I can see how far I have come as a violinist and know that, with Hannah's guidance, I can accomplish so much more. Highly recommend for all ages.
