Introduction: Gina Johnson has more than twelve years of experience working with thousands of dogs on manners, obedience, and behavior modification. Gina Johnson has a bachelors degree from a prestigious university studying psychology and animal behavior. She is also a certified professional dog trainer who's knowledge has been assessed with rigorous testing. She is the owner and operator of One Good Dog Professional Dog Training. "I love teaching dogs new behaviors and coaching owners on how to communicate effectively with their canines! I am a balanced trainer who believes in teaching dogs what is expected, reinforcing the behavior around distractions and coaching the owners to continue the behavior after I am no longer in the picture. I love working with dogs AND people." It is so rewarding to see dogs transformed and their potential unleashed. I love dogs and I love working with dog people. My service is customized and personal in a home environment not a big warehouse building. Since dogs are contextual learners, it is an easier transition from a home to a home and the local community. Balanced training is kind, clear and effective with positive reinforcement and fair consequences.

Gina came to do in-home puppy training with our Mr Bentley shortly after he first arrived in our home. He was about 4 months old. He loved Gina and we still use many of the things Gina taught him. After he did STAR puppy training, we did several of the summer group sessions Great time for socialization and reinforcement of earlier training commands and behaviors. Currently, Mr Bentley goes with Gina every couple weeks for day care and work on things we think are important to his continuing good behaviors. Bentley loves loves loves Gina - he loves to demonstrate the things he gets, all in exchange for yummy rewards and high praise.
