FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
We often start with a behavioral consultation that is an hour or more in length. This is $90 at my location and a house call is $115 within my travel zone. Day Training is $90 and is very effective just like Board and Train but your dog gets to spend the evening with you!
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I like to find out what the owner wants from their dog. The things they would like them to stop doing (behavior modification) as well as obedience and manners. I do not come with my own agenda. I do not belittle the owner. I know that if they hire me for training, they love their dog(s) and want to do their best for them.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a bachelors degree on psychology and animal behavior. I was a veterinary assistant and an instructor assistant for the training department of Guide Dogs for the Blind. I worked as an apprentice for a large behavioral training center and was then hired. I trained hundreds of dogs of all shapes and sizes for their day training program. I also did private coaching and taught many group classes. I have owned my own training business working full-time for over 11 years. I have taken many continuing education seminars and workshops.
