Steve does excellent work. I recommend him 100% He tiled our basement bathroom floor, finished the walls, made his own wood trim to edge the wall where it met the tub tiles, painted the walls and wood work, moved the washer and dryer himself, worked outside cutting the tile, even though it was cold, and put everything back. He was efficient, clean, organized, punctual and very reasonable, providing a detailed bill of time, labor, and parts. No surprises. He was very independent and made no demands on us, even turning down coffee! We left him alone in the house, a couple of times, feeling complete trust in him. The job was unexpectedly difficult; the concrete was uneven, there was an unknown pipe jutting out into the floor. He was thorough, he found and filled in a leak around the tub; he was ingenious, he modified tile around the pipe and made a perfect round hole for the toilet for the plumbers, and he patched holes in the walls. In addition, he was very considerate, picked up the tile himself, (after a wrong order was delivered) later volunteered to pick up the vanity, and ran through the steps the plumber was going to take to complete the bathroom renovation, with a new sink and toilet. He came back to do a little something where the floor met the carpet in the hallway, no problem. He wanted us to be perfectly satisfied. All in all it was a personally pleasant and very professional experience working with him. Based on what he did for us, I would trust him to do any kind of household renovation he says he can do. I know he does kitchens, decks, and additions too because he came recommended by a neighbor. We were perfectly satisfied.

Steve has done multiple projects for us both big and small. He added a downstairs bathroom off the kitchen by converting half of the back porch. Steve has also done multiple adjustments to our kitchen cabinet configurations when we had new appliances and has installed a new back splash. He also installed new railings on the front porch. Steve does excellent work, is thorough, cleans up each day and offers suggestions when appropriate. He is very personable and he is our first call when we have any project. If he can't do it (very rarely), he will give us a recommendation. Can't say enough good things about Steve.

Steve Bruno is a perfectionist. He tore down and rebuilt our front stairs and landing/deck and we were (and still are) blown away by how beautiful it came out. Steve is a master craftsman in his field of carpentry and we would highly recommend him for interior or exterior projects. He's professional, fair in his prices...and as mentioned, an absolute perfectionist. No one better!

I have known Steve Bruno for many years and he has done several carpentry projects on my antique home. Not only is he conscientious and reliable, he takes pride in his work and leaves his work site in pristine condition. Many times I have not able to inspect his work at the end of a project but I know that I will not be disappointed. He has always done excellent work and I have always been satisfied and amazed with the final product. Old homes are often difficult to renovate but Steve has the patience and talent to tackle the impossible. I highly recommend him.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Our pricing is competitive with the market place. Once enough detail is collected and reviewed for the desired project we provide a free comprehensive estimate. We recognize and reward loyalty with long term clients and we're proud to say many have even become good friends over the years.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
First we schedule a meet and greet in order to get to know one another and discuss the scope of the desired project. Included is a simple questionnaire to help each client convey their goals and considerations within the parameters of each individual job. Once a general set of objectives is established, we can move forward.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Steve has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Marine Engineering (1973) as well as a Chief Engineers License (1980-current, reissued every 5 years after satisfactorily completing a comprehensive written exam, physical exam, and drug screening).
