- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Typically I charge from $85 to $125 per hour, although I am often willing to be generous for a good cause or for a longer term relationship.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
For small jobs, I typically have a requirements discussion and then provide an estimate. I can work on an hourly basis, or offer a fixed price, but that would require more hours to be very clear about the deliverables. For larger jobs, I use scrum.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been programming for 35 years, and I graduated from college in Computer Science. Since then, I have been both a senior technical manager and a participating developer, always staying current with new technologies and methodologies.
