- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?I am flexible in pricing and will work with the customer to arrive at an acceptable quote that is affordable and works within their budget. I can provide quotes by the hour, by the word and/or by the page.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?I would typically have a phone call with a new customer to go over the scope of the work and to reach a mutual understanding of what's expected. (This can be done by email or text as well.) I would then have the customer send up to 10 pages of their work with which I would fulfill that understanding (proof and/or edit) and return. At that point, we would know if we are a good fit and an agreement on the price would be reached. I request a small downpayment to show good faith. Full payment at completion of the job or in milestones, at the customer's discretion. I would check in with the customer as often as required or as desired by the customer.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?I have years of experience in many fields including fiction and non-fiction novels, children's books, screenplays, technical writing, legal, public relations, non-profit. I have a degree in English.
