Introduction: My studio is located in Massapequa on LI and if you want a true piano teacher whose main instrument is the piano and not a hobby or secondary instrument, I'm the one to choose. I teach all genres of music and I do incorporate music theory. I want my students to be well rounded musicians.
You will have FUN while you learn. I actually ask YOU what YOU are interested in playing. You'll be playing short songs within 3 lessons! Although I'm laid back, I'm serious about practicing and making progress.
As for me, I am classically trained and I've been playing piano since I was 5 years old, started music theory/composition lessons at the age of 8, graduated from The Crane School of Music with a concentration in piano. I have played in solo recitals, concerts, plays and have also professionally accompanied. I’ve trained students for Music school, NYSSMA, and have taught many audio engineers/studio producers. I love the outdoors, baking, and cracking jokes. Most importantly, I love sitting at the piano and playing songs I love.
I'm an easygoing person who loves to teach by making the process fun. I have taught for 10 years to all ages and levels. I have trained students for NYSSMA with great scores and also specialize in preparing for college auditions! Whatever your goal is, I can help you achieve it and seeing the progress you make matched with the look on your face is why I enjoy what I do.
Lesson Details
With my unique Power Lessons Program, students learn music faster than in traditional lessons. My program teaches independence and how to listen to yourself in order to adjust. Whatever your musical goal is, I will help you reach it and have a great time doing it. Lesson plans and techniques will be specifically catered to each student and how he/she learns best. There will be a mixture of songs from the lesson books to learn various skills and also repertoire that you will help pick.
