- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Due to the custom nature of photography and events, each project is ensured a custom quote that meets clients' individual needs.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Clients may initially contact Jill via email or phone to set up a pre-consultation phone call. During the initial conversation Jill will need the following information: 1) Date of the photo shoot (or general time frame is there is not a specific date needed) 2) Type of photography you are seeking 3) What type of goods you are seeking (prints, digital files for print use, web use, etc). 4) Any important details regarding the shoot and outcome should be shared with Jill at this time Jill will draft a custom quote for the project. Once the quote is approved Jill will put you on her Master Calendar. In the interim time Jill will work with the client to determine optimal photographic results and will give advice for her client to achieve the results they are seeking. Approximately 3 weeks after the shoot (depending on the type of shoot and number of images taken) Jill will share the images with the client. Final delivery of goods will be completed at an agreed upon date between the client and Jill.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
A former educator, Jill has a Bachelors Degree in Elementary Education from Michigan State University and a Masters Degree in Educational Administration from Portland State University. Following her passion for photography, Jill made a career change in 2009 when she started her photography business, which at that time specialized in family photography. Over the years Jill has expanded her business to include a multitude of photography genres. She travels throughout the United States attending workshops and conferences each year to ensure she is staying on top of photographic trends.
