FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My pricing is competitive, based on my expertise and quick turnaround times. My fees are typically a flat rate and I guarantee my work by including a second round of “touch up” editing, should the customer find a problem after I am finished.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Before I take on a job, I like to speak to a customer so that we clearly establish the customer’s expectations for the job. I gather as much detail as possible about the customer’s wishes, both in terms of what I should do and in terms of what I should not do. From there, we establish a realistic timeline and sign a contract that outlines the total agreement. I guarantee my work 100% based on the written agreement the customer and I have established.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have 2 degrees in English, both a BA and an MA. I have taken classes in editing, and I have worked as an English teacher for over 20 years. I have taught formal and creative writing in my career on both the high school and college levels. Concurrently with my teaching career I have written and edited numerous documents of varying lengths for myriad clients.
