Introduction: I teach students of all ages and skill levels. I have taught percussion in a NY college for over 8 years and have also taught percussion in a nursery school. I prepare all my students for any school auditions, concerts or recitals that they may have. I teach drum set as well as many different hand percussion instrument. My lessons are fun, informative and exciting. I have had students be accepted to or attend such prestigious music colleges as Berklee College of Music, The New School, Manhattan School of Music and The Krane School. I have also had a student win the national Sam Ash Drum Off Contest and perform in major Broadway Musicals.

I have been teaching drums for almost 25 years and I still enjoy it as much today as when I first started. I love sharing my passion for drumming with others who have the same interest. There is nothing more satisfying than see the look in a students eyes when they start to realize that what they are playing sounds really great. That smile is priceless! Lessons are given in the students home, at my professional drum studio or via Skype.

Chris Tibaldi gave both of my sons drum lessons for many years throughout elementary, middle school and high school. My sons had several drum instructors before we found Chris and they wish they had him from the start. He was by far the most talented drummer and teacher out of all of them, and always came prepared with a lesson to teach them if they did not have requests to learn a song or have something for school. They each grew so much as people and musicians because of Chris. My oldest son, already an advanced drummer, learned so much from Chris, who can teach and develop both beginners and advanced drummers. We could not have asked for a better instructor. My sons loved getting drum lessons from Chris and looked forward to their lesson each week. Chris is an outstanding drum instructor, who is extremely talented. Because of Chris's exceptional instruction both of my sons did NYSSMA, were selected for All County numerous times, went on to play in college and were even selected to be the drum major. If you are looking for someone to teach you or your child the value of music, particularly drums and percussion, there is no one better than Chris Tibaldi for the job.

I really enjoyed my lessons with Chris. We worked on rock, latin, jazz and many other styles of playing. Then applied those concepts to actual songs. In addition to drum set we also worked on some hand percussion instruments as well. The lessons were well paced and fun!

Chris Tibaldi is the best drum teacher money can buy. I studied drums with him for 12 years and because of him I became very passionate about the drums. He can take your drumming to a whole different level and prepare you for every gig. If you are looking to get better at your craft don't look any further, you will not regret studying with him.

Chris is the textbook definition of a great teacher. He cares about every student he works with and always has their best interests in mind. I spent two years taking lessons with Chris, and in that time I learned some many valuable tools I use on gigs every week. He caters every lesson to your ability level and individual needs, and makes even the most challenging exercise fun. I highly recommend him to anyone interested in drums and percussion.

Chris is extremely knowledgable in his craft and is able to explain things in a manner that is not only fun but really helps you to understand how to be a better player. Chris always had a great deal of patience in our lessons and while he would always push me to explore and learn new things, we did it at a pace that was condusive to my learning style. He is a master of all playing styles and If you're looking for a true professional, Chris will not disappoint you!
