FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My pricing is a "contingency fee," which means I do not take a fee on a case unless I win the case in court or settle the case. I also advance costs and expenses on personal injury cases, which are repaid to me only if I achieve a favorable result in court or secure a settlement.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
The first thing that I do after accepting a new personal injury case is meet with my new client. This is important so that I can build trust with the client and answer the client's questions. I insist on meeting new clients face-to face the same day that I become their lawyer. Mr. D'Aunoy also works quickly and aggressively to perform the following tasks within the first two days of representation: 1) Start a formal claim with the defendants 2) Request all accident reports and insurance information 3) Determine whether the client is receiving appropriate medical treatment 4) Collect important information from the accident, including taking photos 5) Request the client’s medical reports and bills since the accident 6) Schedule an in person status meeting with the client within 30 days Mr. D'Aunoy believes in regular status meetings with his clients. He personally meets with each of his clients at least once every two months. Furthermore, each client is provided with Mr. D'Aunoy’s direct number. If Mr. D'Aunoy does not speak with his client when they call, he returns client phone calls within 24 hours. All medical and accident reports, bills and correspondence relative to the accident are sent to the client as soon as Mr. D'Aunoy receives them. Mr. D'Aunoy believes that his clients should be as informed about their cases as he is.
