Alexander Larionov

Introduction: With me, your child will study with a young adult who they can relate to easier than somebody older. I am classically trained but also a professional, gigging jazz musician so my approach to the instrument is complete. I also have the perspective of being able to play trumpet, tuba, and piano. My goal is not to teach just trombone, but musical skills that will allow your child to excel in just a few weeks and that will last with them long after they are done studying with me. Music has a rich culture of mentorship, and I have benefitted so much from it. So whenever I teach, I think about all of my great mentors and try and give my students as much or more knowledge and experience than they have given to me. This brings me so much joy! Also, I love kids and teenagers so connecting and working with them is a privilege to say the least.
