Introduction: After running my own business for 20 years, I needed a change in consciousness. I took a 14 month course to get certified in Breakthrough Shadow Coaching. Interesting that I was always doing a kind of coaching and continual training with my employees all though my business career! I have worked with many adults with various issues through a goal setting process. Now in my third year I specialize in, relationship building, divorce, trouble with children, your role in the work place, and improving your life! I work over the phone so that you are in a quiet safe space, and not distracted. I truly get inspiration form working with people. I somehow always see parts of my own story in others as I have had my own struggles! I am sensitive to the pain, and difficulties we all go through to become more conscious, and ultimately have a more satisfying life! If you would like to see something about my course wok and teacher, you could you tube Debbie Ford. Her work and training is based on Carl Young's shadow work. Basically that means that we all have shadows from childhood that hold us back from have the life that we won't.

James Burns’ intention for his clients is to have their best interest at heart, the same as he’s had for all of us who have been associated with him through out the years, including: family, friends, employees, peers in business, contacts in volunteer work and more casual acquaintances, too. Jim and I have known each other for more than 40 years and were married for 18 of those years. We raised two sons together and continue to honor our family connection to each other. What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
After a free initial interview, I usually suggest a series of 10 session. We do one per week with some home work in-between. The fee is $100 per session ( 60-75 mins.). If you do all 10 the fee is reduced to $900 for the series. We work on the phone, so that you can be completely relaxed, and not distracted. We start each session with a short centering exercise, and you will be taking notes during the session!
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I do have a Maters Degree in K-12 Education, thought for 7 year in both public and private schools. Then ran my own business for over 20 years, and have been a coach for the last three years. I do a lot of volunteer work with teens with disabilities through a music based program out here in Virginia.
