Nancy helped my siblings and I support our aging mother who had been suffering for quite some time with deep depression and anxiety. She established a sense of trust with our mom using kindness, genuine deep listening and she helped to normalize some of what our mom was experiencing. Nancy has not only been skillful and kind with our mom but has, when we have asked, met with us as a family to help us better understand what our mom is going through and how we can best support her and take care of ourselves as well. Nancy offered very practical suggestions too, based on her many years of experience working with middle aged and older people and their families. She advocated with medical professionals to bring an effective team together and has helped us hone our communication skills with them and with each other. I highly recommend her for both counseling and consulting how to navigate these territories of older age with consciousness, hope and peace.
