FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
my pricing is a flat rate no matter how long the job takes. this includes spot repairs that I can do on site. things like sticky keys and broken hammers. bigger issues are priced out separately and is discussed before the job starts.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I like to start by doing an inspection of the instrument and if possible I like to learn a bit about its history, where it's been and how it plays. after tuning I like to share my thoughts with the owner, and empower them with my own insights on the build and quality of the piano as well as the tune itself. each piano is individual and each is a different experience to work on.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
15+ years of experience in the field, and 5 years working in a professional shop environment working on all types of pianos from grands to uprights, as well as some antique automated instruments from ages long past.
