FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I work flat fee only, being I always offer unlimited concepts and revisions, plus I like the client to know what to expect. There are never surprise or hidden fees. So each quote is geared towards the client. I can't see how anyone can charge 1 fee for a particular service, not knowing what the client expects or needs from me.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Depending on the information provided, I make sure I understand exactly what is needed. Asking questions about the project such as what will the design be used for, what are the deadlines, are you working with a printer/developer, is this project for you or your client, etc. If the description is unclear, I always clarify before placing the final cost. I accept no deposits and no payments are requested until completion. BUT if the project is long term, I work out the details with them accordingly. Every project is different so the questions vary according to need. Difficult to answer this question being there are so many different project types all with different guidelines!
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I started as self taught using very basic desktop applications, then taught myself Photoshop, then Illustrator, then InDesign. I then started taking classes to learn more about each program then ultimately was asked to teach a few classes. I am photographer in my spare time, and am the neighborhood computer geek. I also have training and hands on experience in Orthopedics as well as Corporate Conference Marketing. I am expert level in MS Word, Excel and Powerpoint. I hate when people don't use their blinkers. That has nothing to do with work, but I figure if you read this far, you deserve a break from me trying to sell myself!
