FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My prices are all-inclusive because every dog is different, and that can translate to vastly different grooming needs, even among dogs of the same breed. It can be hard for every pet owner to know exactly what their pet needs when it comes to grooming. As an experienced professional, I can quickly evaluate exactly what your pup's specific needs are and customize the grooming process to best suit them. Each package shown includes: -Bath with custom shampoo and conditioner -Blow dry and brushing -Teeth brushing -Nail trimming and filing -Ear cleaning -Anal gland expression (if recommended)
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been grooming professionally for over ten years, in salon settings ranging from private households to veterinary offices to boarding kennels. I attended grooming school in Jacksonville, Florida and then returned to Tallahassee, Fl to hone my skills. After a few years, I relocated to Orlando in order to study under some of the top groomers in the country. Soon after, I began competing and winning in national level grooming competitions, where stylists had to produce a perfect show groom on a dog in a limited amount of time. I developed top notch skills on breeds ranging from Cocker Spaniels to Portuguese Water Dogs, with dozens of breeds in between, and earned a reputation as one of the top groomers in the country. In 2013, I completed the grueling testing process to achieve a Nationally Certified Master Groomer title through the National Dog Groomers Association of America.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I have worked with animals, mainly horses, since I was a small child. It was while I was in college that I got a part-time job working with dogs as a bather in a grooming salon. It was not long before I fell in love with the art and business of pet grooming and set out on a life-long journey of pursing my passion.
