- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
For large or small groups and events, I find out as much as possible about the tastes of the audience; what should be the "mix" to satisfy their ears. I play special requests whenever possible.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Ten years of private lessons starting at age 11, gave me the foundation on both lever and pedal harp. I took master classes when I could, including a summer at the Jazz & Pop Harp seminar in Santa Barbara, CA. I continued my preparations for performance while at St. Olaf College from 1979-1983. In 2004, my first CD was recorded in St. Augustine, FL at Eclipse Recording Studio, where I completed my second CD of Christmas songs a few years later. In 1984 I started to play part-time professionally, while holding day-time jobs of many kinds. I have had much experience and pleasure working for weddings, event organizers, private customers, churches, non-profits, corporate and small business owners, funeral directors, hospitals and health care centers. I have had training in creative arts therapy with the elderly and disabled. (M.A. in Human Development from St. Mary's University, Mpls., MN).
