- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I started this passion when I was thirteen years old living down the road from a construction company. I started mowing their yard and maintaining it regularly. What was cool I thought was going to school saying I had to go file my taxes (thinking I was a grown man) until I had to pay in.... Standing in lunch line the only kid with money that I had actually earned buying all my buddies pizza for lunch or pop from the machine. Well little did I know I thought the money was the reason for it all... Until I met a gentlemen that changed that. He had a story with his retired career and actually worked himself until the day he passed. Its about the smile on the customers face when you approve the job is completed knowing that you did a good job. Its about knowing you have made a bond with a customer that you maintain routinely. And being known in your hometown from "that's the kid in school that mowed this or that cut down so and so's tree" teachers talking in the hallway senior year about how I mowed their lawn or did flower beds for the principal. The reason I love my job is because I leave my family to make my other family happy and grow it bigger.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Look at his/her background on the type of work. Make sure he is skilled and ask for or look for pictures of that type of work. Ask for insurance accidents happen its not if its when mom always said.
