- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
When I work with a client, I ask them their fitness & nutrition goals. I ask if they have any health/medical issues and then take an assessment of their fitness level. From there I can design a work out program that is tailored to what they want to accomplish. I also provide a program that they can work on their own. I provide information on healthy eating and diet tips, as I have 2 certificates in Nutrition.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am a PFT, Personal Fitness Trainer. I obtained my certification from W.I.T.S. (World Instructor Training Schools). I took my classes at Florida Gulf Coast University. (FGCU) I obtained my nutrition certificates, "Healthy Eating For Weight Loss" and "Sports Nutrition" thru Expert Rating Global Certifications. I am also CPR/AED Certified.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I actually started years ago working with a personal trainer on my own goals and achieved them. It was then I realized I was passionate about working out and wanted to help people achieve their fitness goals. That's when I decided to become a personal fitness trainer. So, I enrolled in a course at FGCU. In addition I took classes on-line to obtain my nutrition certificates.
