I took piano lessons for 14 years and stopped after I finished college where I had earned a Bachelors in Music Education with an emphasis on teaching piano.

Introduction: I am a proficient, experienced (18 years) pianist who enjoys teaching private piano lessons. I have a Bachelor’s in Music Education and have been teaching piano lessons for 9 years. My passion is to show students that playing piano can be fun and enjoyable and also bring joy to others listening. I specialize in driving to the student’s home for weekly 30 minute lessons.

My son has taken lessons with Miss Ruwersma (or, Miss Ru, as he calls her) for two years. I couldn't ask for a more talented or caring teacher. Miss Ruwersma is professionally trained and is dedicated to her students. Where much is expected, much is required, and Miss Ru expects her students to practice in the interim. You can tell she loves what she does.
