Introduction: I've had a camera in my hands since I was 16! Even 20 years later I'm still so amazed at how something so small can aid in helping me create art...because that's what I feel I do with my clients. I don't like to just take pictures. I want to create art. I love watching families interact, kids laughing and playing and I love photographing it all in the sun particularly during golden hour! (An hour before sunset). It's the best, most beautiful time of day. I don't have a studio because I want to have the freedom to travel to clients homes (where everyone feels most comfortable) or to a local park, or downtown, etc. I want to be able to get the most authentic and real connections and interactions between the family I'm photographing. I love meeting new people, working with new clients that inevitably become friends. I love photographing people just as they are. I love bringing out the beauty in everyday moments. I love making art. I love seeing something about a child or family or couple that maybe they don't see and capturing that for them...forever.

We purchased the Grow With Me photo package for our twin boys. This included a newborn sitting, 6 month, and 1 year. So far we have had newborn and 6 month, 1 year will be in November. We absolutely love every single photo she takes. The natural lighting in combination with her ability to capture beautiful moments of the boys, is absolutely stunning. The photos are organic with no phoney staging or forced poses. She is very patient, gentle, and detailed. She has found great ways to incorporate the boys favorite toys and special blankets. She sends a flash drive with all the edited photos in both color and black and white for us to print as we would like. The high resolution of the photos has made it possible for us to do a few large format pieces. I am so excited for their 1 year shots. My husband and I are also hiring her to photograph at our family reunion next summer.

We had a newborn session with Beth and she was excellent! She knew so many tricks for working with a newborn and went all out assuring that the baby was comfortable. It was like magic the way she perfectly wrapped the swaddle around a sleeping baby. She allowed us to take breaks when baby needed them. We were also sent an edited assortment of images so we didn't have hundreds to sort through. I really appreciated that! We love Beth, look forward to working with her again.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I have a fairly standard pricing structure and I share it with each client once they contact me and we set a date.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Once I receive a request through my website (email), I contact them within 24 hours. I send them a Welcome Packet that has samples of my work and all the info they need for the session (what to wear guide, pricing, Q&A's, how-to's, etc). We select a date, time, talk a little bit about each other , and what each client is hoping to get out of the session. I'm available over the phone, text or email right up until our session date for questions.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Photography (well art really) has been in my blood since before I was born. I took photography classes in Junior High all the way up through College. I received a BAFA from my hometown state school (Washington State University...Go Cougs!) where I focused mostly on photography in addition to other art mediums.
