Introduction: Whether you're looking to be healthier, want to make family dinner feasible midweek, or just prefer eating to cooking, this is the solution for you. We chat on what foods you enjoy and how you like to eat. Lots of garlic? No mushrooms? Do you want dessert? You choose your menu and we arrange a cook date. I show up with the groceries and get to work. When you get home there's a week's worth of home cooked meals in the fridge (or freezer). There's instructions on how to reheat. The kitchen is clean and you remember you have a bottle of Syrah that will go great with the Lamb & Apricot Tagine with CousCous. I also develop menus for private dinner parties and provide catering for corporate events Here's the answer to the first question everyone asks: I learned to cook because I LOVE to eat. I was lucky enough to grow up in a house where family dinner was every night. I was trained to be a voracious eater. My mother was an adventurous cook and my father was fine with it, as long as we told him it was just chicken. Privately trained, I started working in restaurants at 16 and made my way through the kitchen to Head Chef at the age of 20. I started taking on private clients in 2007, professionals who wanted a home cooked meal over curbside pick up and busy families who wanted to make sure that the kids were getting enough vegetables. Cocktail parties and elaborate, multicourse themed dinners came shortly after. I spent many years working for a premiere catering firm cooking for weddings and large scale corporate events. Ultimately I decided to go back to the dinner table. That's where all the fun is. Cooking is where my creativity lies. Some people write music. Some people take amazing photos. I can make you a meal so delicious you'll be unashamed to reach for that third helping, just to figure out what the secret ingredient is.

I can't say enough good things about Vanessa or her food! I hired her to cook for a small dinner party I was having at my home with my new boss and his wife (stressville, population: me). I was already nervous about making a good impression I didn't have time to worry about what to serve. I just told her what kind of food I was thinking and she let me pick from a bunch of different options. The appetizers were AWESOME. Totally set the stage for a great meal. She cleaned the dishes before she left and I was able to focus on the killer 3 course dinner. If I get any type of promotion at this job it's because Vanessa and her cooking knocked my bosses socks off. THANKS A MILLION

Food is fuel for the brain. It is just a saving grace that the food Vanessa makes is delicious perfection. The ease of not having to worry about what to make for dinner; if all the ingredients are in the cabinet; if all those ingredients are even good dissappeared once I hired Vanessa. No more need to run to the store and be stuck in long lines or repeat the same easy recipes over and over. After being mentally exhausted from the office I can come home to delicious meals. Without even asking she prepared nutrient dense meals without leaving out flavor. The way she made vegetables I hated (squash) into my most requested dishes (butternut squash with balsamic blueberry). The best is how you can see all the ingredients that you are paying for. Quality ingredients prepared without shortcuts. Some stand outs are sweet potato salad ( a warm suprise), roasted tomato soup and grilled cheese, herb grilled chicken, superb chargrilled tomato dressing for salad, risotto with porcini mushrooms, blackberry cake, linzer tarts and the list could continue. Vanessa is up to date on answering emails to coordinate schedules and deliveries. Swapping the ease of drive through for Vanessa's cooking even helped me go down two pant sizes (a miracle in itself). I only wish I had given up trying to make healthy food options for myself sooner.

CEOchefnj and one server handled an in home cocktail party for 30 guests. The set up went smoothly and the professionalism was evident by the equipment and preparation. The tapas table presentation was impressive and gave guests immediate access to something. All the food was delicious and my guests were impressed. I would have like the mini crab cakes just a little larger. I have already recommend the service to a friend.
