Sorry this pro can’t do your job, but we know other pros who can.
Introduction: I'm a writer, radio commentator, and life coach. Coaching: I work in the Skills for Change tradition, an offshoot of Transactional Analysis, to help people figure out what they truly want and make lasting changes in their lives on every level. Learn about the Rescue Triangle, how to silence those unhelpful voices in your head, and simple ways to make dealing with conflict something that's fruitful and not scary or just a huge drag. Writing/Editing: I'm ready to help you write or write for you, help you edit or edit for you, show you how to develop your own voice or jazz up a plain sentence with mine. I can coach you through writing a book, a paper, or a poem, and I'm also happy to use my spoken voice in your project, if you need a soothing, calm tone (see profile video).

My company has hired Molly for two distinctly different writing/editing projects over the past year. One was to fine-tune the narrative for a short inspiring video about our new gigabit fiber optic network. She took our draft and -- via her mastery of word rhythms (and some needed fact-checking) -- made the script sing. To top it off, she provided the voice-over. The end result was pitch-perfect. https://vimeo.com/111485428 The second project was much more comprehensive, requiring the expertise of a consummate editor and writer. Our company conducted a day-long visioning workshop in our community; resulting in a way too long document written by a cacophony of multiple voices. From paragraph to paragraph, the tense and tone changed. As well, many similar points appeared in different sections. Molly took the bull by its horns, bringing the disparate thought processes together; resulting in an unified document that was concise, poetic and easy to read. Molly is a pro; delivering on time and beyond expectation.

Skills for Change coaching is about teaching clients some tools, practices and assumptions to help them get what they need/want from daily living. A core belief is that people are inherently good and inherently sane. How you treat yourself and everyone else relies on this. There is no one up/one down relationship between the coach and the client. A simple worksheet contract is filled out initially to clarify what you want to change in your life. You give the issue that's been bugging you shape by writing it down. Then the Skills for Change coach guides you to identify: - obstacles you face - resources you have - what you have power over and what you don't - depletion of energy and replenishment and how they affect your experience - internalized messages or beliefs that oppress you and ways to manage them - the art and magic of saying "no" - the value in asking for "100% of what you want, 100% of the time" and its benefit to everyone - the patterns and pitfalls of "rescuing" family and friends You learn ways to negotiate effectively and compassionately. I am learning from a coach who puts them into practice every day, Molly Fisk. Molly is a pleasure to work with. Being a poet and a writer as well as a coach, she is able to pare down concepts to their essentials. There is no off-putting jargon, she's funny and kind. She is worthy of your trust and confidence. The tools you are given can be so marvelously effective in getting unstuck and on your way. - Pat Sharp

I have been working with Molly for over six months. I think the best testimonial I can give is how I've referred her to friends of mine. I describe her as very intelligent, funny, compassionate, patient, understanding, knowing and inspired. The book I am working on is quite challenging for me to write. I would usually rather do anything but sit down and work on it. It is a memoir and based on a lot of loss and pain. Molly is fully aware of this and does not push me along but gently guides me to negotiate the project in digestible pieces. She listens to me and where I am coming from vs. her own agenda. Frankly, I don't think she has an agenda for me at all besides to help me do what it is I am driven to do. From my experience this is a rare find in a coach or counselor. She also has lived a life full of love, loss and has experienced trauma deeply which gives her a wisdom that isn't something one can learn from books, they must have walked through the fire. This wisdom allows Molly to seriously know what you are saying when possibly your words are not quite as descriptive as someone without that knowing would understand. All and all I find her to be a jewel of a coach/human to assist me with my writing adventure.

Molly worked width me on my first book, which I published. She was helpful, supportive and had great insight into what I was doing. I am a fan and am still using her to coach me through my struggles with writing and other things in life. I highly recommend her for her clear voice, her listening skills and above all her beautiful heart.
