Introduction: I am a member of MTAC (Music Teacher Association of California) and enjoy working with children and seeing them grow in knowledge, confidence and self-worth. I have taught music in schools as well as private lessons for over 30 years. My specialties are piano and flute. My goal is to have my students look forward to their lessons and leave with a smile, having learned and accomplished something new. I enjoy seeing my students progress and, while having fun, acquire love for making music.

My 7 y/o daughter has been taking piano lessons from Hafdis for about 7 months and we have had a wonderful experience! Hafdis is great at connecting with her at her level. She has a nice balance between teaching and reinforcing proper technique but also making it fun for young ones. I have full confidence my daughter is receiving the best possible foundation for success in piano playing through Hafdis's teaching.

Our teenage boys have been taking piano lessons from Hafdis for over a year. They have learned so much in that time. She is very patient, but also pushes them to work beyond what they think they can do, and it's paying off! My mother loves hearing them practice so much that she said that she would love to learn how to play. She has a Birthday coming up, so as a gift, I will be signing her up for a month of lessons with Hafdis to get her started!

She is really great with my two young children. They respond well to her sweet, friendly personality. They always look forward to the lessons as she has a way of putting them at ease. I highly recommend her as a piano teacher. She is very knowledgeable and experienced in the field of music. I also like how she adjusts the lessons to the individual needs of the student.
