I typically charge $150 per hour.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
The Edit: You introduce me to your closet and wardrobe. l select all the timeless pieces and I help you part with pieces that haven't been worn in a very long time and/or are holding onto for sentimental reasons. These items I donate to Dress for Success a charity that promotes the economic independence of disadvantaged women by providing them professional attire. As an alternative, for items that are lightly worn we may choose to consign them with local stores.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have spent 15 years in fashion culminating with the launch of Spruced & Styled in early 2015. In 1999, my mother and I launched Marlena-Maree, a sophisticated, hand-made clothing label based in Chicago. Carrying four complete seasons per year, our designer ready-to wear label sold to nearly 30 leading boutiques across the United States. In 2006, Marlena-Maree was selected as best up-and-coming designer by GENArt and led a runway show to the press and over 500 people in the fashion week tents of downtown Chicago. Since Marlena-Maree, I led the launch of Majestic Filature at Bergdorf-Goodman.
