FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My rates vary job to job—for example, multiple dogs that require long daily walks or senior/special needs dogs that require lots of medications and extra care may cost more than a quiet adult dog that just needs to be let out every so often.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
My experience primarily comes from working at a full service kennel for the last 2.5 years. I couldn’t be more proud to have worked there and I learned a huge amount. I can safely say I feel confident with any dog and any situation thanks to that job. I’ve also been an apprentice trainer for the last year which has taught me a great deal as well.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I went to school for psychology and was planning on becoming a counselor, but a few years ago I made the decision to change direction and work with dogs for a living. Nothing in the world brings me more joy than dogs and I felt it would be a waste not to pursue that kind of happiness for myself. It was the best decision of my life—I’m doing something I truly love and I’ve never been happier.
