FAQs
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I was 18 years old and a family friend asked if I wanted a job "pulling wire" on a big project. Ever since then I've had a deep passion for this type of work. I have been doing everything from home theater and automation to security and networking to offshore and industrial electrical and instrumentation for a total of around 12 years now. I have a niche for this type of work ever since I started in the industry.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
I would definitely start off by saying that the biggest and most expensive company isn't always the best. Smaller companies are trying to make a name for themselves, so usually they will be cheaper and put a lot more passion into their work. Make sure your contractor knows what they are doing. Ask them whatever questions you have about a job and judge them by the knowledge to the industry, punctuality, and professionalism.
- What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?
What type of walls do you have? Is the attic accessible? How high are your ceilings? Try to describe the project to the best of your ability leaving out minimum details so we can give the most accurate quote possible.
