I have been doing residential work of one sort or another since I was about 10 And would tag along with my dad to be the tool and parts retriever. I have been involved in new builds as well as full renovation jobs doing work from changing light fixtures and fans to building decks and everything in between.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
I have worked with a huge variety of people spanning from grandparents needing a trampoline assembled for a birthday gift all the way up to lawyers wanting custom made pieces for their home and office.
- Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
I recently had a client that I was lucky enough to reimagine their dining room master bath and build a custom barndoor for the entry to their master bedroom. This job really brought the character out of this home. It started with brown beadboard at chair rail height and a muted orange. We changed the brown to white and the orange to a vibrant seafoam green. We made a custom table for the space, reworked a cabinet for use of a coffee bar with custom cup hangers i made for the area and removed the old dated ceiling fan to make room for the custom white oak pendant light that i created to light the space. From there we moved to the master bath, we removed the countertop, toilet, mirror, light fixtures and sanded down the cabinet base, fixed drywall, sanded down all surfaces and primed the room. We went with a soft coral paint, white subway tile backsplash, custom vanity with hand set sink, installed all new oil rubbed bronze fixtures refinished the cabinet base and reconfigured the layout of the doors. We went with a barnwood frame for the mirror and a chocolate grout. From there i hung the sliding barn door i built for them out of sycamore and aromatic cedar. This job took us about a month from start to finish with build time for the door, table, light and vanity top. We have already started designing their loft into an art and game area and will be remodeling their master closet after designs are finalized as well.
