Introduction: I think what makes us stand out the most is the wide variety of services offered. We do everything from building boat docks and landscaping homes to pouring concrete and mowing lawns. If it's outside we've done it! No matter the job we're doing we have a great eye for detail and strive for perfection. C.K.S. is a small, low overhead business that always puts the customer first. We take great pride in our work and ensuring that the quality of the job is above and beyond the customers expectations! I have to admit that thing I enjoy the most about my job is working outside with the ever changing weather! I love to be challenged and it's always a challenge working outside in central Kentucky! I'm also a very social, outgoing person so I love meeting new people all the time and giving them a place outside they can enjoy for many years with their families.

We needed major holes in the driveway patched with asphalt. Explained that driveway had to hold up to a tractor with hay on it at least once a week. We had a washout problem that Rob and Jason said could be solved 50-60% with a drain. The drain was placed on the opposite side of where I told them to place it. The concrete is only 2" thick, which cannot hold up to a tractor and cracked into pieces the first time the tractor crossed. Unfortunately I did not get everything they promised in writing and only 1/8 of the promised work was completed. A 1-2 day job took about 4 days; one excuse after another about why they always arrived after noon each day. Patches in the driveway are all ready being washed out. Called about work with no reply. Very disappointed. Sub-standard work.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
With the ever changing price of fuel and materials it is very difficult to have a standard pricing system in what I do. There are some things such as mulching and mowing that tend to stay pretty standard.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I don't know that I really have a "process" when working with a new customer. I just want them to really be comfortable with me and I want to be totally transparent with them. I think if we are both comfortable and trust each other that we will build a long lasting relationship that will typically bring repeat business because without that no business will ever succeed!
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have 2 years of college where I was majoring in Landscape Architecture but I never completed my degree. In my 20+ years of landscaping I have acquired 2 horticulture certifications from "PLANET" 2 hardscape certifications from "Belgard" and 4 irrigation certifications from "Rainbird". So I do have some credentials to back up the experience.
