FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Various elements take part in my pricing. Studio versus a location shoot, image type (download, prints, flash drives). Quantity of edits desired. Photography type (headshot, artistic/creative, wedding, event/party, portraits, model/actor etc.)
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Before I begin with any client, I like to discuss their objective. Some projects require more efforts of preparation, like weddings, and I'd need to know more about my subject, the event, scheduling, and my client's expectations. What do you want? Is there a theme or color scheme that I should adapt to (i.e. props, backdrops, set design, lighting).
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
After I purchased my first camera, I just wanted to take pictures. Until I found it as a great stress reliever and began to take it seriously. I shadowed fellow photographers and studied all that they had to offer. On set and behind the scenes of projects, watching them gather the family for the portrait, setting the mood for the models or even swaddling the newborn and laying them in a basket under a soft light. It was all important and I learned from some great talented photogrpahers.
