Introduction: I am a former breeder and trainer of champion Labrador Retrievers who have attained AKC titles including Canine Good Citizen which is recognized as the gold standard for dog behavior. To achieve CGC dogs must pass a rigorous 10 step test to obtain their title. I have mentored under two pro trainers who many in the profession consider the best in the Northeast and also a K-9 police officer certified in behavior modification. I am experienced in basic obedience as well as advanced training and specialize in off lead instruction utilizing verbal and/or hand signals. I volunteer at Peggy Adams Animal Rescue. My training philosophy is praise and reward based. A dog has to enjoy the training or they will not succeed. I proudly served in the United States Air Force for four years. Working with the dog and owners as a team and seeing remarkable results. Taking a dog whether it be a puppy or a senior dog that the owners thought were untrainable and turning he/she into a valued member of the family that they can be proud of. Observing the owners at the beach or park with their dog off the leash but still in total control.

David is experienced in basic training through advanced his specialty is training for off lead and acquiring AKC Canine Good Citizen certification for your dog. I partner with David in training, overnighting and spending time playing and walking our families' pets. David loves the pups like the parents and I do. We trust him with our pets, yes even kitties. He has a natural connection to and understanding of our pets. Our families tell me they respond to his training each time he is with them. I highly recommend David to you because I rely on him to provide the best for the pets.

David is an excellent trainer. My German Shepard pup, Kelly, took to him right away. He was able to teach her commands very quickly and now she has her AKC Canine Good Citizen title. When I go to the park I always get compliments on how well behaved she is even off a leash. I would recommend David to any dog owner who wants a dog that is well mannered and behaved.

My prices are consistent with my services. I will work diligently to obtain your desired results in the shortest amount of time
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I like to schedule a "meet and greet" with the owner and dog to discuss their needs and desired training level and to evaluate the dogs potential. It is the perfect opportunity to get to know each other and discuss my training methodology.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Former breeder and trainer of champion Labrador Retrievers. Mentored by two of the top professional trainers in the Northeast. Mentored by a police K-9 officer. Volunteer at Peggy Adams Animal Rescue League.
