Dawn was wonderful with my 92-year old mother. She has a wonderful, respectful way of teaching -- which was key with my mom, a retired parochial school math teacher. She was able to keep the conversation on-point politely (much better than I can). I was impressed with the way she determined what they would concentrate on, and then moved forward on task. My impression is my mom is apprehensive about accepting help. She is fed up with caregivers who sometimes are patronizing. But Dawn addressed that elegantly. I'm working on having you back! - What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?$50 per hour. I don't charge for travel time. I am available for Remote Sessions. This option allows us to get you on the way to your desired results much faster. That is the best outcome, isn't it? I want you to get the help you need as quickly as possible. You could be sitting at your kitchen table, in your favorite recliner or even on your porch enjoying the weather - and I can still be helping you with your computer needs. How does that sound?
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?I adjust my training to the knowledge level and speed that my client is most comfortable with. It's all about them. I will have handouts and documents for them to keep, and if requested, I will assign some homework to be sure they are grasping everything.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?I have been teaching computers for over 20 years.
