Thank you so much!!
Sarah has an amazing gift. We hired her several months ago, to guide us through a complete overhaul of our entire house, one room at a time. Initially, we had several designers come up with a concept so we could choose the best one, and hands-down, we chose Sarah because had the best design concept. After asking us questions, she was able to clearly articulate what it was that we wanted and the overall look we were going for. Working with her has been extremely easy. She communicates well, is thorough, detailed oriented, and overall has exceeded all of our expectations.Oct 15, 2017
We asked Sarah to come to our place of business and provide design for a very historic building. Sarah was professional, resourceful and was able to guide us with choices that resulted in a beautiful and grand entrance to our foyer and window treatments in our library and large tv room that were both functional, long-wearing and eye-catching. Sarah was able to connect us with vendors that worked within our budget and was able to communicate our needs with these vendors to get us the end result we desired. Working with the Lovely Locale (Sarah) was just that, LOVELY.Nov 14, 2017
Working with Sarah was awesome! It really couldn't have been any easier for me! Knowing I was on a budget, she picked out cute, affordable options for me to style my apartment. From the picture frames to the furniture, Sarah was super responsive, attentive and helpful. I wholeheartedly recommend hiring her for any design project that you have.Sep 27, 2017

- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?I choose to charge based on square footage, rather than an hourly rate and marking up product. This includes everything from the initial consultation, design phases, project management, and install days / meetings and days on site. Because a lot of the designing happens on the backend, clients can sometimes have a difficult time imagining where hours are going to. For example, taking the time to find the perfect sofa that will fit you and your family’s budget and needs, or following up with orders and deliveries, takes time. Knowing what the design fee is, up front, allows us to budget accordingly and is extremely transparent.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?I typically like to have a phone call or in-person consultation, where I can learn more details about the project, as well as what the client is hoping to get out of the experience. From there, I create a proposal, outlining the scope + estimated hours, as well as concept images for the design direction. I also send over a contract, to be signed once the proposal is agreed upon. I find that this is the easiest process, and sets goals + expectations for the rest of the project.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?Bachelor of Science in Interior Architecture with a concentration in Sustainability from Endicott College.
