Introduction: I teach Adult Learn to Swim lessons. According to the Centers for Disease Control, 37 percent of adults can't swim the length of a pool. This puts them in danger of being one of the 10 people who drown every day in the US. My kids and I love to swim together and enjoy water sports, swimming in the ocean and lakes, as well as goofing around in my parents back yard pool. I want to see more parents and grandparents splashing in the water with their kids. My own children and grand kids squeal with delight when I ride down a water slide, race the length of the pool against my competitive swimmers, or swim and paddle board with them in open water. I am excited to be able to give adults the confidence and skills they need in the water to also experience the joy of swimming!
