- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Closet Consultation: $80 an hour* Special Occasion Styling: $80 Personal Shopping: $80 an hour +price of purchase with tax (an hour will usually yield around pieces to choose from) Closet Organization: $80 an hour +price of installs with tax Discounts: - For any first time customers my first hour is complementary. - If you have a full consultation, follow up consultations are 20% off. - If you refer a customer that hires me for any full service your next session is 50% off - If you request on-going personal shopping services, you will receive 20% off personal shopping service. *If a client feels like their needs go outside what I offer or are more basic I am open to discussing different terms.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Before we meet: - I set up an appointment to meet, ideally at their home (or wherever their closet is). - I send them a few questions ahead of time to give me big picture idea of what they're looking for. The first session: - I spend the first half hour getting to know the client. - Then do a quick closet assessment. - After the first hour the client is given the option to proceed with a full session or to end it there. - If they choose to continue I usually start with a full wardrobe overhaul by then end of which I have a very good idea of what the client needs and I put together a wardrobe and style plan. After the in-house session: - Clients always have the option to take me on as a personal shopper. In which case I take care of filling in all the holes we discussed and dry-cleaning, donating and repairing current wardrobe pieces. -Regardless I am accessible to all clients for the next 2 weeks via phone and e-mail. Where I provide support and continue to advise.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I've been in high level customer service for a long time, in education and front of house capacities. I'm experienced in personal shopping and dealing with very particular customers as well as people who walked in and had no idea what they wanted. I also consult part time for a Taiwanese street style clothing company. But most of all, I've been helping people dress since I was in high school, it's always been a passion and a niche of mine!
