Introduction: I am a professional live/studio drummer with over 30 years playing/recording/touring experience. I have given lessons to dozens upon dozens of students over the last decade, ages ranging from 4 years old to 60 years old. My approach to teaching is tailored to the goals of the individual. There has not been one student that hasn't, or isn't on their way to achieving their goals under my instruction! I bring an element of fun to the process, along with years knowledge to ensure the student quickly develops as a drummer, and keeps a positive attitude along the way! My experience within the industry also allows me to help aspiring drummers to reach their goals as professional performers. Simply watching someone who wasn't quite sure how to even hold drumsticks, blossom into an amazing drummer, is what makes this career the only thing I could ever do with my life. Watching a students eyes light up when they learn something new for the first time is a feeling only an educator can know.

Chris started teaching my son how to play drums about a year and half ago. My son was 8 yrs old and wanted to play like grandfather used to. From minute one Chris was informative and energetic; thoughtful and fun. He has taught my boy everything from how to hold a stick to how to play a Led Zeppelin song. Which by the way, he had to transcribe and right out by hand... this was before he picked up some really useful software to print out music. My boy can sight read music and play from feel, he can read and write everything he does thanks to Chris. Excellent teacher, awesome with kids, incredible drummer (I've seen him play out with his bands) and all around fantastic human being!! Thanks Chris!!

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I typically charge a flat rate for an hour lesson. If the student wants to take a shorter or longer lesson, the price is adjusted.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
When I first meet a new student, I like to spend some getting to know them. I will ask what their experience level is, who are their favorite artists, what their goals are, and what type of equipment they have. This allows me to gauge where to start off with them, being that not one person is the same.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been playing drums for over 30 years. I've played everywhere from the local tavern, the Pavilion at Montage, to The Schermerhorn Symphony Hall in Nashville, Tn. I've recorded drums for multiple bands over the years, in many different genres.
